Tell us a a bit more about White Knot…
White Knot has been creating personalised and bespoke stationery since 2011 and specialises in wedding stationery. Whilst keeping on top of current trends we offer pre-designed collections as well as a fully bespoke service to cover all design and print needs from save the dates to place names.
What inspired you to start your business?
It started with me (Sarah) I am a graphic designer with over 10 years experience. Working on friends and family event stationery outside of my day job I saw how much further ahead America was in its more luxurious wedding stationery market. I wanted to bring more of this to the UK to give engaged couples the chance to step away from the traditional ribbon tied designs that were so dominant in the market at that time which resulted in me staring up White Knot!
How are you different from the other suppliers that offer the same service?
With so many online wedding stationery design companies we pride ourselves in our ability to work with couples to ensure the stationery is exactly what they are after. All collection designs can be adapted with fully customisable text and colour to suite any specific requirements without the costs of going bespoke. We listen and deliver great results whilst taking the stress away from what is very busy time for couple planning their big day. We also have great knowledge of both traditional and modern print processes to give the possibility of offering something a little different too.
What do you love most about working in the wedding industry?
Stationery is often one of the early elements to get sorted once the date and venue have been booked. We get to work with excited, happy couples to make their ideas come to reality and getting such great positive feedback from couples who are busy planning their big day is so rewarding.
What would be your number one piece of advice for a bride for be?
Plan ahead. It will save you time and money and reduce the chance of stress levels creeping up. You can save lots of production costs by printing as much of your printed material at the same time especially on the day items such as order of service, place names, table names, menus, table plan, thank you cards etc.
Tell us about the best thing you have seen at a wedding you have been to?
We went to one wedding where as a complete surprise to the groom the bride had made a sort of “creature comforts” style animation of a few people telling hilarious stories about the groom. All of the animated characters had elements and characteristics of the person telling the story and it was so well put together. It went down so well and had the room in stitches.
Finally in one sentence why should someone choose you?
Combining great, on trend adaptable designs with a friendly, efficient and reliable service we can ensure you get the perfect stationery to set the tone of your big day.
