Tell us a a bit more about Jess Soper Photography…
I’m a story-telling wedding photographer who loves to focus on the emotions of your wedding day.
What inspired you to start your business?
I never set out to be a wedding photographer. After I had my second child, I really wanted to find a job that I loved. I never dreamt in a million years that I could make a living doing photography, but things started to snowball, and when I photographed my first wedding, I knew that was it. The buzz, the emotion, the sheer joy of the day was incredible to capture. I knew that this was what I had to do.
How are you different from any other similar suppliers?
I love working with creative, fun-loving couples who have a wedding day that’s unique to them. I pour my heart and soul into my wedding photos, so I always make sure that I’m only taking on weddings I love. I’m also always pushing myself to learn new skills so that I can deliver the very best photos to my couples and just be a generally awesome and lovely person to have around on the day of your wedding!
What do you love most about working in the wedding industry?
It’s such a happy, creative world. I don’t think it used to be like that, but there’s a lot of stylish, creative suppliers out there now and it’s so good getting to work alongside these people.
What would be your number one piece of advice for a bride to be?
Do things your own way! Don’t worry about what Auntie Gladys is going to think. Or feel like you have to do things that you dislike. Don’t want a first dance? Don’t do it! Want to get ready together in the morning? Do it! It really is as simple as that, follow your heart and all your guests will have an awesome time when they see how happy you are. Also don’t overdose on Pinterest.
Tell us about the best thing you have seen at a wedding you have been to?
Honestly it’s impossible to limit it down to one thing. I guess for me the best thing I can ever see is all the guests having an amazing party at the end of the night, great music and dancing is always a winner.
Finally, in one sentence why should someone choose Jess Soper Photography?
