Tell us a a bit more about Lotus Floral Art…
I design and make a full range of long lasting wedding accessories and decorations using dried and preserved flowers. The dried flower has all the beauty of a fresh flower and has the major advantage of lasting for years when looked after correctly. This means they can be kept as a memento and I also feel I am doing my bit for the planet by reducing waste, which is sadly what a fresh flower becomes after a short time. Dried flowers can fill any purpose that a fresh flower would including bouquets, floral crowns, hair clips, button holes, corsages, wreaths, pew ends, table decorations, wedding stationary, decorated frames and letters… the list is endless and the options are limitless.
What inspired you to start your business?
The need to be creative that I was reminded about when I planned my own wedding.
How are you different from any other similar suppliers?
I just try to offer a fantastic service by doing the best I can rather than competing with other’s who offer similar services. I work really closely with all my clients to make sure they have something they love at the end of our process. As I design and make items for customers all over the country I send loads of pictures at all stages of the design so there are no surprises at any point. I am very conscious of the environment and prefer to use British grown flowers whenever I can, I keep my waste to a minimum and use recycled and local products as much as I can.
What do you love most about working in the wedding industry?
I love being involved in such a beautiful industry filled with so many creative people. I also love feeling like I have had a part in making someone’s day a bit more special for them. I absolutely love getting photos of my products being used.
What would be your number one piece of advice for a bride to be?
Do it yours and your partner’s way. There should be no ‘shoulds’ when it comes to planning your wedding!
Tell us about the best thing you have seen at a wedding you have been to?
My wedding was so perfect for me, we had everything we wanted so I don’t think anything can top that for me!
Finally, in one sentence why should someone choose Lotus Floral Art?
So I can make you the most beautiful floral accessories that you can enjoy on your special day and for years afterwards.
