I’m not a girly girl and it’s never been my dream to have a big white wedding with a Cinderella type dress. I don’t really like shopping and feel far more comfortable in lycra and sportswear than anything else! I had absolutely no idea what style, neckline, length or colour dress would suit me. I knew that I didn’t want anything too fussy and definitely no meringues, so I searched Pinterest until my fingers hurt trying to find a dress designer that fitted my criteria – simple but elegant. I eventually stumbled across the British dress designer Sassi Holford. Holford’s classic style with a contemporary twist fitted what I was looking for.

For our own honeymoon we spent a dreamy week in the Lake District in a mustard yellow VW campervan called Skippy. It was pure bliss – waking up to the sun streaming through the van windows, our breath visible in the morning chill, cooking our breakfast on an open fire and rambling walks through the countryside. We took the opportunity to relive this experience on a recent glamping trip in Cornwall to the most perfect shepherds hut near Liskeard, Cornwall. The brilliant owners Lorraine and Jeff have created a fantastic eco friendly, yet luxurious camp for a wonderful glamping getaway for two.
